We conducted a study aimed at assessing physicians' and physician assistants' knowledge and attitudes toward HIV/AIDS and identified determinants of willingness to care for infected individuals in China. From May to June, 2004, 454 physicians and physician assistants from five different levels of medical facilities in one province of southeastern China undertook a survey on knowledge, attitudes, behavior and practices (KABP). Results of the study were published in AIDS Patient Care and STDs in August of 2007. In this paper the assessment of the questionnaire, including validity and reliability was discussed.
